I realise this isn't the appropriate subreddit for this, but i have nowhere else to post so i have the mods can have understanding and not remove. I really just need to vent as my family's life is essentially ending.

I(19M) Ukrainian, I've been in England since 2022 when i moved because of the war.

My dad(58M right now) could not leave the country as the borders for men are closed.

2 days ago he got picked up on the street by TCC.

I've only found out this morning, we talk through Telegram and he hasn't been online since 2 days ago at 9 am, so me and my mom started getting concerned, last he wrote to me was 2 days ago at 8 35 am that he was returning home from somewhere, he was walking outside from what i understand.

my mom called her former coworker(70M), and asked him to go to the local TCC Centre to find out if he got conscripted. he called back and said that they confirmed he was picked up on the 24th of June.

My dad has no way of contacting anyone. The conscription officers take away all of the conscripts phones so that they don't contact anyone. He already passed the medical commision and will likely soon be transferred to a training centre.

So far as I know he's alive, I don't know if he's physically hurt or not. If he refused to comply with the conscription officers he may have been beat up. He's 58 and he has physical and mental issues(he has depression and he's s*uicidal at times).

I managed to call a lawyer through Telegram to see if they can do anything. They said since we don't have any medical documents on us(all of the medical docs are probably in his apartment and we have no relatives in the city, and on top of that the only person who has the keys is my mom, who lives with me in England) that they can't really do anything in terms of the law.

He was recognised as fit for service, without being able to contact anyone or provide any documents - the only way to be recognised unfit is if u pay a bribe, people with schizophrenia have been conscripted and recognised fit for service for example.

at this point I don't really know what I'm supposed to do, my mom is going to Ukraine in a few days, she can't go right away since she has to take a train from Poland to Ukraine and those are only available in 3 days.

he's most likely to be assigned to infantry, if he doesn't die from physical abuse in the army before that, he will die on the frontline. I'm literally praying that somehow my mom can get him out, we don't even know if he's hurt or not. she broke down crying this morning when she found out he was conscripted

i have mental issues myself, i'm under CMHT and meds and this shit just keeps piling on, like how more cooked can my life get. my dad is the only person that understands me and my mental issues and he's been literally the only support I have through the last several years and now he might die, i fucking hate my life goddamit it, what the fuck did i do to deserve going through this shit

p.s. i realise people here can't really give me advice, i wanted a place to vent, i have no friends to talk to and needed to get this off of me cause i'm going fucking insane

He has contacted us 10 minutes ago saying he's ok!!!!!
he said he found a job, but can't talk right now and will tell more later.

there's a general rule that men over 55 get assigned to rear, he's 58 and he watched a lot of videos about conscription from lawyers and others and whatnot so I think he managed to wiggle out of being in infantry. he used to be a helicopter serviceman in the Soviet Army(during compulsory service) so maybe he's a mechanic or something but I will find out later.
