I've only tried making socks twice. Both times I didn't get the tension right, the socks were baggy n stitches were uneven. I don't know if that problem.was expected when learning, n got discouraged. I do better learning things via written instructions over video due to significant hearing impairment. Does anyone have any suggestions for me? And does anyone have a favorite basic sock pattern, and/or any written resources that would clearly guide me? Thanks in advance for your help.

Id appreciate a top down pattern for attempting to knit my first pair of socks. Id also appreciate input regarding use of bamboo or metal needles. Thanks in advance.
