Options for shipping souvenirs to USA from Taipei?

Hi all, I'm looking to ship around 10kg (probably more) from Taipei to New York. What are my options for shipping?

It's a mix of really special souvenirs and generic stuff so if it's more cost-efficient, I can split it into 2 packages: 1 with a more expensive reliable service, 1 with a budget (but still reliable) service.

Note: Ideally would like to avoid USPS for last-mile delivery as I've had multiple issues with them losing stuff over the years.

Running out of cash in Taipei without debit card

Any ideas on how I can get more cash from my US checking accounts (Citibank, Chase)? I underestimated how much cash to bring as I am also going to be stopping by Japan and Korea. I know, rookie mistake.

I do not have:

  • physical debit/bank cards

I do have:

  • 2 physical credit cards (Chase Sapphire Preferred, Citi Double Cash)
  • 1 digital debit card in Apple Pay
  • Some Apple Cash
  • a Wise account (no physical card)
  • Venmo, Zelle

So far I've read that some people get lucky with having a new debit card shipped out to them, but can vary wildly on delivery times (like potentially 2 to 4 weeks, and I'm only here for another 3 weeks).

I've also heard mentions of Western Union but have never used it and not sure if I can self-transfer.

R6 MII Wireless tether with CaptureOne?

Hi everyone, I may be wrong but I believe the Mark II can wireless tether. I have CaptureOne 16.4.6.20 perpetual license.

I started a new C1 session and opened up the Tether tab. Then I went to the network tab on the camera (dual arrow symbol) and selected "Connect to EOS Utility", selected my WiFi network, and get stuck on this prompt that says "EOS-97DD16 pairing (connection) with the computer in progress. Start EOS Utility on the computer." I'm purposely trying to use C1 and not EOS Utility.

Meanwhile, in C1, the page is just blank and there are no cameras recognized.

Any ideas on how to get this to work?

US citizen here. China visa will not be processed on time. Planning on doing:

US -> Seoul (layover) -> Chengdu (8 days) -> HK (1-2 hours to reset, depending on flight availability) -> Chongqing (5 days) -> Taipei

Does that reset make sense or will I be turned away from the flight to Chongqing because it's pretty obvious what I'm doing?

I'm seeing conflicting information all over the internet about French passport holders visiting China. Some say they get the 240-hour (10 day) transit, some say it's 15 days, some say it's 30 days.

Does anyone know for sure which one it is? Thank you!

Will this itinerary be valid? I believe it should count as two separate 240-hour transits, but I'm not 100% sure. Unfortunately it does not look like my visa application will be processed in time.

USA -> Seoul (layover) -> Chengdu (9 days) -> Hong Kong (3 days) -> Chongqing (5 days) -> Taipei

Related question: Is there an amount of time that must be spent in Hong Kong here to "reset" the 240-hour clock?

Thank you in advance!
