How is your luck with the reflective eye on the eblade?
I remember the eye that the electric autocockers used was a reflective one and those kind of eyes found also on impulses had some limitations compared to the break beam eyes. I remember reading that sometimes dark paint would cause them to have issues. For those of you who still use autocockers with eframes how are the eyes on them? Do you use the eye or just have the hopper keep up? I currently have two mechanical autocockers that i love (an orracle and an empire resurrection) but have been eying this one super stock that i remember i thought was the coolest thing ever in 2005.
WGP Wednesday with this cool Orracle I picked up. Can’t wait to use it soon
Savage Geese : 2026 Toyota Crown Signia | Mixed Signals
While there is no talk of Arbys , there is talk of the 2026 crown signia and if this might be the car for you link . As someone who likes the look of the car and the controls in it , it is expensive and at that price point competes with a lot. It exists in a weird in between toyota and lexus pricing where it doesnt have the lexus quietness but does lack the new ES lack of everything in the touch screen. I think they bring up a good point of who the buyer who would enjoy this car would be.
My thoughts on the HMM Geno Breaker Repackage Version as someone getting back into models
Over twenty years ago I saw an ad on tv during summer vacation as a kid for Zoids with the jingle of "build it , customize, mobilize" and got a zoids model of the cannon tortoise that used a wind up engine. I thought it was the coolest thing ever and it even moved! I found a store that had the japanese imports of the zoid models not found in toys'r'us and saved up all my money over a year for more. It has been a long wile and i no longer have those models but i was happy to see zoids are still around. I found a store a few years ago near me and bought a Liger Zero and built that. Eventually I got a Geno Breaker and after a lot of life stuff i finally finished last night. I built the motorized geno breaker years ago and this thing is very different.
Firstly it is so detailed which is awesome. I love all the little effects and details they added to this set. From the pistons near the feet for it to stabilize when its using its charged particle cannon , to its cockpit, to just how intricate all the parts are. If the original one was like a PS2 Game in terms of detailed graphics, this is like a PS5 Game.
The fact that you can pose them and move them is also great. The motorized ones were really cool but not very posable. Some of them also didnt move super great and were prone to either fumbling while still or falling over (looking at you motorized Lightning Saix).
The parts also have a nice quality feel to them and dont feel flimsy or is to physically break in half. Lastly i also love the art in the instruction manual.
My biggest issue with this model and it somewhat applies to the blade liger is i feel some parts could fit a bit more snuggly together. This is especially an issue for me when attaching large parts like the legs to the main body. Moments like that feel great as you are seeing the model take form and have a definite sense of progress. However attaching it to the body results in a few small parts always falling off from something. I reattach them of course but i wish that wasnt the case and the parts fit on just a little more.
The set was really rewarding to build in the end and i am happy i got it and have it out on display. I am looking forward to getting another model at some point to build. The special ops hermit crab Sea Panther looks cool.
Understanding the current state of zoid models
I used to love zoids and building the models as a kid. There were so many 26 years ago and even though some of them didn’t move great with their motors I loved them. Now I am getting back into building models again. I bought and built a liger zero kit a bit ago. It didn’t have a motor but it was extremely detailed compared to the one I had as a kid.
Looking at the current state of zoid models I had some questions. It seems like the models come out in waves. Certain zoids in certain ones so a kit I saw two years ago won’t exist this year it looks like. Is that correct?
I also noticed the zoid models come in different flavors now? The 1/72 are big and very detailed. The 1/100 are detailed but less complex. There also appears to be motorized zoids but they seem to be mostly put together?
The gun tortoise zoid has a special place for me. It was the first one I ever built as a kid with its wind up motor. Does that mean eventually a wave of that model will come out?
Best looking paintball regulator and why is it the black magic one?
Savagegeese: Kia K4 Hatchback | How to Make a Cheap Car
With cars being more expensive i thought it was a nice video on a car that gives you a lot for the price and doesnt feel or sounds horrible. There is some high praise compared to its competition. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3cW84X5ALBA .
