Hadrian Tetradrachm

SELEUCIS and PIERIA, Antioch. Hadrian. AD 117-138. AR Tetradrachm (25.5mm, 13.57 g, 6h). Struck AD 118. VF.

I really enjoy Roman eastern provincial coins. Instead of only issuing denarius, they issued staggering numbers of Tetradrachms to solidify Roman rule in the Hellenistic world.

Mommy’s Boy who was betrayed by Mithridates the Great

Kingdom of Cappadocia🛕
Ariarathes VII Philometor, BC 107-101
AR Tetradrachm (28mm, 15.97g)

He was a boy king who was stabbed to death by Mithridates VI at a banquet. His mother had acted as regent, but she could not protect her son from the ambitious king of Pontus—who would later become the nemesis of the Roman Empire. Not much of Philometor’s reign was recorded, but the fact that he was personally killed by Mithridates the Great makes this coin such a pleasure to own.

Byzantine - Aspron Trachy

Byzantine Empire, Manuel I, AD 1143-1180
EL Aspron Trachy (4.22g)

This is one of my very first coins I purchased a year ago. I still remember to this day how excited I was.
I haven’t felt that much excitement since I was a kid.
I knew then that this hobby had me hooked for life!

Is this real?

I got this while ago but I’m starting to think it might be fake.

I know it’s from Boetia but don’t know anything else. Any information about it is appreciated!
