Finally - the Ukrainian illustrated editions of the Lord of the Rings have arrived!
I've pre-ordered these books back in December, so I had to wait almost half a year for them, but it was so worth it. The entire first printing was sold out during pre-orders, so now people have to pre-order the second printing.
Continuing my earlier post, I've also included the photos of all Ukrainian Tolkien books (at least their latest editions):
- Illustrated editions (2nd photo) - almost all of them illustrated by Alan Lee:
- The Hobbit
- The Fellowship of the Ring
- The Two Towers
- The Return of the King
- The Silmarillion (illustrations by Ted Nasmith)
- The Children of Húrin
- Beren and Lúthien
- The Fall of Gondolin
- Tales from the Perilous Realm
- Letters from Father Christmas (illustrations by Tolkien)
- Other books (3rd photo):
- Mr. Bliss
- Sir Gawain and the Green Knight
- The Legend of Sigurd and Gudrún
- The Fall of Arthur
- J. R. R. Tolkien: A Biography by Humphrey Carpenter
All Ukrainian Tolkien books are translated and published by Astrolabe Publishing.
