If maybe you saw my most recent painting, that's what inspired this one as I decided to do another silhouette. The name may be a bit trite but I think it's perfect for this execution. Happy 4th to my fellow Americans. This one has a lot of stars, but no stripes!
This one is near the finish line. It will be called, "She Is The Light". And her light from within cannot be contained.
Some of you may not think of this as being surreal. But ask yourself, "How many times have you seen a rooster greeting a morning sunrise while perched on a bed post that's set out in the open and viewed from the point-of-view of some guy in orange polka dot pajamas?" Sometimes, when these bizarre visuals pop into my mind and I sketch them out, I just have to go forward and paint them. This one is called, "Rise and Shine" - 24" x 30", acrylic on canvas.
