I am looking for some help with creating an academic CV. I completed my undergrad years ago and am now looking to return to the world of academia and get my master's.
I've only been working professional jobs, which have some relation to my degree. The only research/academic work I have is from back during my undergrad years. My brain is melting trying to write this as it's stuck in resume mode. A lot of the CV examples online are for people who have lots of experience in research and publications, which I do not have.
So far, this is the format I have:
Education
Academic Awards & Scholarships
Research Interests
Research Experience
Professional Experience
Publications
Community Involvement
Any tips for additional sections, formatting, what to include and what shouldn't be included would be super appreciated!!
I'm looking to re-enter the academia world after completing my undergrad 5 years ago. The program I am interested in requires me to find a faculty member to act as my supervisor.
I've been out of the game so to speak, so a few pointers on how to structure the emails would be helpful.
When would be the best time to email? (App deadline is Jan 15, so it would be a Sept 2027 start). Do I attach a CV? My transcipt?
Thanks for any advice (:
