New discount system?

Hello. Anyone know what's up with the new discounts on reduced deli foods? Until yesterday, I'd only ever seen 25-30% on items in that area, but when I went in yesterday, all the reduced items had something crazy like 70-75% off, even with the use/best by dates being the usual time away.

& While they're still on those annoying-to-scan double tear yellow labels, the format seems to have changed to. Is this a temporary thing or something? If so, I wanna know so I can strike while the iron is hot & take advantage of it. Was blown away paying ~$7 for a baguette&salad combo thingy, an ahi tuna bowl, and two bottles of tea lol

update: Maiwand Kabob in Aurora (poor update)

So, after recently asking about this place the other day, I ordered a shawarma wrap and sambosas. Went in and they'd apparently cancelled the sambosas and didn't bother to call or reach out. Alright stuff happens. Today? I ordered 3 entrees and falafel for my mum and gf for mother's day, go in, and they apparently cancelled the entire order. And didn't reach out again.

The explanation for it, once I'd gone in, was that they were too busy and didn't want to keep in-person customers waiting while they cooked my order. Seriously. They uncancelled it and are now making it while I'm waiting, but the entire point of ordering ahead was to not have to wait for 20+ minutes... Definitely enjoyed my shawarma from the other day but oof the service (or lack thereof) is a huge downer.

This is the first time where I've had a place just cancel my order because it would've taken longer than estimates by the online order system. Honestly super surreal for a place that's been open for a half year or so lol. Even the worst places I've been to at least give a call when they do cancel something or at least try to reach out

Thoughts on Maiwand kebob? (Havana Gardens in Aurora)

Pretty much the title. Some months ago the Dickey's in the area shut down (good riddance imo, albeit sympathies to the employees) and I only recently noticed the Maiwand banner hanging by the area. Always excited to see new ethnic spots in the area.

My gf & I work nearby and she loves falafel so we're planning on trying them out on one of our next days off, but I'm curious as to how others have enjoyed it, especially WRT value compared to the food itself. I ask because while I saw that it's already got over 200 google reviews and averages 4.7 stars, one of the most common negatives seen is that it's quite overpriced for the portions you get.

(Also open to any recs for similar cuisine in Aurora, preferably along/beside Havana St area 🙂)

Round 2: Same station, same fuel grade, same discount point price, ~5 months apart (Soopers in Aurora, mid grade, 20¢/gal off)

Sometime back I'd posted about a fuel price difference between late December and mid March & had someone comment that they hoped I'd have the same energy & be back to post about fuel prices again once they got back to normal soon 🙃

Winning so hard right now bros. I'm so glad I no longer have a 40+ mile commute... And that I don't drive a diesel (that shit was like $5.49/gal at this station). Pouring one out for everyone but especially folks with long commutes *and* a large diesel.

Could someone give some info on how this would be gone about? My GF got hired a few weeks back and is really digging it, and mentioned that while employees get a 15% discount card, apparently another person within the same household as them can get one as well. I already shop at sprouts a decent bit, albeit mostly to snipe reduced deli items, but I do pop in a few times a week especially when I go to pick my gf up after her shift, so it'd be awesome to have one to use for when I go on my own.

She asked three coworkers about it, none of which know how to go about it as they never needed/wanted a 2nd card, and the guy that was her initial supervisor got axed literally a week or so into her start & they still haven't found a new dept lead. I know the obvious answer is to ask a store manager or some other higher up, but i was just curious about the process behind getting one. Would I need to like, go in and show my ID to prove we're in the same household, or do they just let a 2nd card rip and hand it to her to hand to me?

And another Q, but would I be able to link my own card to my sprouts shopping account or would it essentially be a duplicate of my GF'a? I noticed that when I use my GF's discount card I can't use my phone number because it signs her into her own shopping account that was presumably made when they made her card, as she didn't have an account prior to that. Not that sprouts has the crazy sorta digital couponing that places like kroger and safeway do but every little bit helps lol. Many thanks in advance for any replies!
