I had a catastrophic failure on my old bike on Monday, so I was pretty stoked to see a new color I actually like available from canyon in the US. Aero drops are nice. I need to install the longer stem piece and it will be all sorted.
I’ve been trying to get my optics dialed recently and have been coming up short. My contacts prescription at some point in my ride will often become very blurry after starting out fine. I’m not sure if it’s how I’m focusing my eyes or if the angle of my head and neck is affecting my eyes that changes my astigmatism tilt.
If any contact wearers who have an astigmatism has figured this out, I’d love to hear your methods. Optometrists (I’m sure you’re out there too, it can’t be all dentists) please weigh in as well. I’ve gone back for a recheck but I’m not sure if this is even within the scope of what I could expect from a typical optometrist, or this new one I’m seeing just isn’t up to par, I’m not sure as it’s been years since I’ve gone to the optometrist.
Other optics suggestions are welcome too. I’m really trying to make a mono/wraparound lens work, but that may be a fools errand. TIA.
