If Your Loading Screen Is Too Fast, This Might Be the Issue.

I had this issue. I wanted to share what helped me fix it, and I hope it works for you.

If you go to settings, scroll down and you will see something that says:

“Speed Up Loading Animation” - ON

You need to turn it OFF for it to stop.

It just so happened to be automatically turned on for me after the update. So, hopefully it works for you by just turning it off.

Thoughts on Eryndor and Valen?

The new side quest really did deepen Valen and Eryndor’s lore, especially their friendship.

But who gave Eryndor the ability to be a vampire? He tried giving it to Valen, but he declined. To which Eryndor said that the person who gave him this ability was entirely fine with Valen being one, too.

Who is this person?

But, I am a bit bummed out that we can’t go back and view Eryndor’s memories. Does anyone have screenshots of it?

Question about Dura’s Mission and Deal with Merlin.

In CoE, the chapter Frozen Legacy, we meet the God of Death.

He says, “You’re finally here. I had to wait quite a while.“ Then, he also says, ”Well, now that you’re here, my current Merlin, I can finally hand over this sword to the knight that likes to make things difficult for me.”

Merlin gets to ask, “Why were you waiting for me?”

The God of Death tries to explain, then says, “Nevermind. It’s bothersome to explain.”

Merlin says, “You chose Valka.”

”Weren’t you the one that chose her? I was just waiting for you to bring her here, as we agreed. Speaking of which, if you weren’t here I wouldn’t be able to give her this sword. I just want to get rid of it. I’ve been waiting for two thousand years. Dura‘s power is quite the nuisance...”

When Valka tells Merlin that she posses two sets of memories, one without the sword and the second with it, she questions the God of Death. He responds, ”I’ve kept my promise for two thousand years. Now I need some rest…”

So, I have questions and some thoughts. Is Dura deliberately setting up situations for Merlin to bring sword bearers? Because there seems to have been a deal that Merlin was aware of, but now Merlin is in the dark about it because of the amnesia. Even the Lord of Death was surprised by it.

In Waves of Intrigue, Merlin has a vision of Dura through Tasi, saying, “Do you remember Dura’s mission? Your journey will bring answers to everything. I’ll leave it in your hands.” But the question stands, what is that mission?

I‘d also like to add that in Song of Strife, Dura deliberately sealed up Phraesto for Merlin. She set up the scene. Dura inscribed a message on a stone for Merlin, saying,

“…This inscription is for you, Merlin. When you came here for our shared vision and saw this tablet, the Hypogean’s seal should have been loosened. With the power remaining from the Dusk Lord, I sealed Phraesto here. But forces hidden in darkness will not sit idly by, and the seals will one day be weakened. This is where you and your companions will take a stand…. *The rest can be found in archives labeled under ‘Mysterious Stele’.)

Dura is the only one that can seal away Hypogean‘s so I’m assuming that Dura wrote this for Merlin.

So, my thoughts on this are:

Dura understands the larger picture and set things up for Merlin. Like by sealing Phraesto away; and intervening in Valka’s first timeline by sealing Cryonaia away two thousand years ago in the First Divine War, setting it all up and knowing Valka will eventually need the Sword of Death.

Dura either personally makes the arrangement with the God of Death. But did Dura give him the sword after sealing Cryonaia and say, “Hey, hang onto this, Merlin will be coming to fulfill that agreement we had.”

And by someway, Merlin is supposed to be aware of whatever Dura has instructed. Merlin now knows about the plan at that point.

Twenty years later, Merlin loses his memories. When Merlin finally arrives with Valka, the God of Death says, “I was waiting for you to bring her here, as we agreed.”

But Merlin has no recollection of agreeing to anything because of the amnesia.

So, is the plan to bring sword bearers and seal Hypogeans away? Because at the start of the game Dura says to the player, “Recall it now.. Reclaim the lost sword. Let it illuminate the hero‘s journey. The one who shatters the eternal night. Behold the legend, Merlin.” Am I missing something? Is this a stretch?

All I know is that Merlin is not on the Tree of Life, neither human nor god. Merlin exists outside of it and is called the Immaculate One, unmarred by the gods, pure and untainted. I also have questions regarding that.

Apologies for the lengthy wall of text.

Zorya Foreshadowed His Fate.

(You can find this in Tower of Memory, The Trials Begin! For context: Merlin told Zorya what happened in Chains of Eternity and why Cyran recognized them.)

Was this intentionally written, or a coincidence? Hm…

Also, it brings up the question that we have discussed before. What experiences led Cyran to choose this? Who did he meet? How did he get he there?

All we know is that he was angry at Merlin. And jealous because Merlin did not utilize their power for what Cyran deemed as “greatness”.

Question about Illucia’s Gift from the Rift.

What was this gift?

For context, in ToM, Illucia brings a “gift from the rift, a twisted power that contains reason“ to Aurelian and Cyran.

(You can find this cutscene in the Purpose Unmasked chapter.)

Now, do we have any idea as to what this could be? Since Aurelian and Cyran are out of the picture, for now, none of them can really use it. Can they? Is this a loose end?

Or was that gift the gem Cyran used to help Gervan? But that looks awfully like the same as the one on his staff.

Is the one he used to stab himself? But then again, it looks like the same one on his staff.…

Or is this something else entirely and not a gem? What do you guys think?

Heart-to-Heart with Cyran.

Are these canon? Because this is very sweet.

This was recorded twice so you can see the different dialogue options.

What do you guys think?

Questions regarding Leymar and Gravecalling.

1)..Going back through ToM, how does Zorya mimic Leymar so perfectly? She goes through these “anecdotes” of Leymar with Cyran, saying, “I brought this matter to Cyran with upmost importance!” and “I recall he was trying to fish from a well at the time.”

Is she just making things up? Or does she know Leymar well? Because Cyran responds with “…” and then, “Headmaster, let’s get to the point.”

2)..And, in regards to gravecalling (of which we’ll probably know more in the Bantus season), it is mentioned twice in two separate seasons (WoI and ToM) that gravecalling is forbidden by the Serene Lyceum.

What makes gravecalling so forbidden? In Waves, Hammie stops us immediately from trying to dispel a gravecalling spell, saying it could harm our reputation.

And do you think gravecalling is limited to only just Graveborns?
