Help with New Home!

Hello! I recently purchased a home after living in apartments my whole life and wanting to learn more about lawns and gardening. This home has an 8-9 foot bed in the front that seemingly grows...everything.

During the spring/early summer, we had lily of the valley, tiger lillies, onions (!!) and some other smaller plants, but now, everything looks crazy overgrown.

I'm not looking for a super clean shrub or flower bed as I value wild flowers and a good pollinator hang out, but I think the majority of what's in it is a bunch of weeds. I'm attaching some pictures and hoping I can get bare bones advice about whether I should be ripping it all out, whether cutting does the trick, and what to keep! Thanks in advance!

Location: NW suburbs of Chicago. Home faces SW direction.
