Tips on my blood smearing

Tips on my blood smearing

Hello!

I’m taking a phlebotomy course at the moment. We are currently working on blood smears and as you can see in the photo provided, im struggling to get a long feathered edge. My instructor can’t figure out what im doing wrong.

I make sure I apply even pressure, swipe quickly, and ensure that the blood spreads to the edges of the glass being used to smear.

I would really appreciate some advice and tips on how to improve my smears. Thanks!

Q’s to ask for Interview

Hey y’all! New phlebotomist here.

I have an interview for a part-time position at Labcorp.

I was wondering if anyone works/has worked for Labcorp and could tell me about their experience as well as some questions you think would be important to ask (even general phlebotomy job questions would be much appreciated).

Thanks so much!

Help playing cassette on Emerson Pd6537

Hey yall,

I can’t seem to get my Emerson radio to play cassettes… I’ve only used the cassette function a couple times and mostly used it for CDs.

but now I can’t get the dang cassettes to play.

I’ve read the manual over and over again and it’s just not playing. I’ve tried different cassettes with no luck.

Any suggestions??
