Hi! I've never been to Italy and I'd like to go beginning of September. We probably have about 8 nights, so I'd like to do Rome for maybe 3 and then the other five somewhere near the ocean. I'm overwhelmed by the options and recommendations I've heard so far - Ravello versus capri versus positano versus Amalfi town versus praiano (plus so many more).

For 5 nights, is there one specific town you recommend? Maybe we do a day trip to one other town? Just my husband and I. We enjoy being able to walk to a town with bars and restaurants open late, but I'd love to avoid anything overwhelmingly crowded. Would also love to do a beach club day, a boat day, a cooking class, etc. would love any and all recs!
