Thank you FOF friends!

I have had a major international travel trip planned and I have been dreading the flight. I have been lurking here for weeks to try to remind myself that flying is safe.

My first flight out had the worst turbulence I have ever experienced when we were coming in to land. People were screaming and praying, and most were gripping the headrest in front of them. It legit felt like a roller coaster.

My body definitely had a visceral reaction to the sensation, but thanks to this sub, I was able to keep my brain calm. I watched the flight attendant in a jump seat a few rows ahead of me. She seemed fine. I reminded myself that the pilots are trained for this and know how to handle it. I never doubted that we would be ok.

Thank you to those who post and comment here. A situation that could have sent me into a panic spiral was instead just a crazy experience!
