NGD - Taylor 512e - Ben Harper edition
This arrived to today so happy, my 1st Taylor! It’s a beauty! Does anyone else have this model? Any 1st impressions? So for me: warm, highly articulate, little bright, strums nice but can’t strum too hard. Woody tone, but not as woody and thumpy as I thought for a spruce/hog. Like the playability on the higher frets.
Playing the stock strings but thinking in a couple of days to swap to the retro (nickel) Monel strings and trying a higher gauge string to add more woody resonance. Has anyone tried nickel strings on Taylor’s?
