Visiting LCA for the first time - questions about warmups and autographs
Suns fan coming in peace! Before I get to my point, I just wanna say that while I'm not a primary Pistons fan, I really enjoyed watching the squad last year, especially Cade, and wish them luck this year in the East!
Anyways, I am attending the preseason game this coming Monday to see my Suns. I’m a PHX native who just moved to the general area for school. I’ve been doing my research on gameday guides and tips, but I figured I'd get some direct insight from Detroit fans.
I already got a parking pass in a nearby garage and my ticket is in section 101 near the visitor bench. From what I've heard, the area around LCA is pretty safe, especially on game nights, but I wanted to be sure since its my first time in Detroit. My main goal is to greet the Suns players and hopefully get some autographs on my gear. I’m planning to get to the arena right as doors open and hang around the first few rows of section 125 to watch warmups and catch their attention.
I wanted to ask: are arena staff strict about hanging out down there for warmups if my seat is already in the lower bowl? Also, does security allow you to carry in a loose jersey that you aren't wearing to get signed? And let me know if anything might chance due to the fact that its a pre-season game (crowd sizes, strictness of looking for autographs, etc)
Just looking to have a good time and meet some of my favorite players while checking off LCA on my list of visited NBA arenas before I come back for the regular season game in December! Thank you for any info, and happy NBA season! :)
