What are REAL differences between Manager (L7) and Senior Manager (L6) on large SAP implementations?
Trying to understand how Accenture structures delivery teams on implementations. Not looking for HR definitions or AI written JDs. More interested in how it actually works on the prjs you’ve been apart of.
My ?’s:
Who typically owns the workstream? L6 or do L7s commonly own workstreams too?
1a) Do L6s oversee ALL workstreams of prj and multiple L7s own individual workstreams? Or do L4/L5s oversee ALL workstreams and multiple L6s own individual workstreams?Who is leading client meetings and internal team meetings?
2A) Who is primary contact for client executive discussions and internal executive discussions on prj progress?who owns these?
- running delivery team (functionals, technicals, architects) day to day
- staffing projects and teams
- monitoring utilization, budgeting, PnL, etc.
- performance reviews, counseling jr folks, promotion discussions, 1:1s, etc.
- Change orders, acct growth, salesAre L7s essentially a deputy delivery lead under a L6 on a large workstream? Or are L7s more commonly lead functionals, architects, or technical leads?
How are teams usually structured? Does a L6 typically oversee multiple L7s? Or do L4/L5s oversee a mix of L6/ L7s
Realize every prj is different, but interested to hear how your teams operate on implementations you’ve been on.
