I saw this on the sidewalk where I was walking a dog. At first I thought it was a snake, but then I saw it had legs and a bloated throat. I'm sure it's no longer alive.

Context: I'm in suburban Kansas City, and this area is a little bit lower elevation-wise. There is a small field with some wild flora that could be considered a mini-swamp when we've had rain (which we've had quite a bit recently).

Edit: I walked by this 3 times within 30 min.

Update: both the toad and snake were gone when I returned to walk the dog again.
