I'm at the end of my rope, thinking about moving to Surabaya, should I?
I'm flat broke and jujur aja capek, like for real, super pasrah...been applying for jobs in Malang but heard nothing. I've moved cities for work before so I think Surabaya ga begitu that big of a leap ya? Just figured the market gotta be bigger there, bener ga? Tho I don't know anyone in Surabaya and I'm low on funds so I don't want to jump blind, I'm pretty much effed already lol.
Sorry if I'm on the wrong sub. I'm not looking for sympathy or pity, just anyone hiring or knows someone hiring for IT adjacent work, I'm listening. Early morning shift, late night shift, tidak masalah, I will take it. Multiple responsibilities, I will take it. I will do my absolute best job.
A little detail about me, high school in 2011, no degree since, but apa itu matter banget when I have more than a decade of IT adjacent experience... For example, I'm great with Excel, genuinely advanced not just basic formulas, I can type really fast with high accuracy so I'm comfortable dealing with detail heavy data work. I'm also super comfortable with Photoshop and Illustrator and understand design principles quite well, I can do video editing with Premiere Pro and After Effects, I'm not so great but can manage 3D modeling and rendering, I used to write code for hours for fun, I can learn any programming language quick, I'm good with computer hardware as well, I can build computers.
So I'm not someone who's just sitting around, I just don't have have the piece of paper companies here in Indonesia seem to want, like ijazah s1 or diploma... apa saya segitu unemployablenya ya
