Now that I have some money, I am considering buying a ThinkPad to replace my inexpensive Acer laptop, which has an i3 processor and 8 GB of RAM.

What do you think about the P14s AMD G6 with an AMD Ryzen AI 7 PRO processor, 32 GB of DDR5 memory, and a 1 TB SSD for 1300 euros? I would be fine spending a few hundred euros more, but so far, this model is the most convincing that I have found.

The only resource-intensive use case I have is running local LLM models, so I would be particularly interested in thoughts about using 24 GB (out of 32 GB) as video memory and Vulkan acceleration to run a model like Qwen 3.6 27B. Also, I plan to use NixOS as my main operating system, if that's relevant.
