New Pitch Shift HQ in action
Ampero II Stage owner here. I'm a live looper that performs with an acoustic ukulele with a MiSi Trio Air (undersaddle piezo) active preamp. Been very happy with my A2Stage... but I've always felt that the pitch shift fx could be better and have written to Hotone and posted in their forums about. Pretty awesome they got around to updating the octave FX with Pitch Shift HQ.
I know my use case is pretty niche, but I could not get a clean -2 suboctave tone to get into bass territory for looping. I accepted that good enough was what it was going to be... until now. Might be hard to hear with a cell phone video bit this is a comparison of my previous U-BASS patch using Classic Pitch Shift and my new, improved U-BASS patch with Pitch Shift HQ that turns my ukulele into a bass. Much less artifacts, white noise and muddiness with PSHQ. Bravo Hotone. Ty.
New PSHQ has a clean, defined sound, much less muddiness and noise artifacts. Second Vamp, as in the second progression of bass notes, in this clip is my new patch with PSHQ.
