Importing a black bear skull from BC, Canada to West Virginia, USA

Apologies if this is the wrong place to post this, but I've seen threads about buying and importing bear skulls before, so I'm hoping to get some guidance.
I'm trying to arrange to export the skull of a black bear from BC, Canada to West Virginia, USA. The bear was legally taken by a hunter in 2023; all of that paperwork is in order.
I have a CITES export permit on the Canadian side, but I really don't understand how the import will work on the American side. I know that I need to somehow arrange it to arrive at a designated inspection point with the USFWS - how do I arrange for it to then travel from there to its eventual destination? I have no experience with any kind of forwarding service, don't know how much it would cost, etc. Has anyone gone through this process before?
