Wright Institute Los Angeles (WILA) - Any thoughts?

Has anyone heard of WILA? Curious if you have attended a training program there or have heard something about it. Thanks.

Applying for jobs while employed vs Quitting and applying

Hi all,

I have been working as a social worker (MSW) as my first job after graduation. Been here for 1 year and 10 months. I feel like a change, and its difficult applying for jobs while also work due to how demanding it is. I also want to find a job that is only therapy.

I am considering quitting my job, taking 1 month off or so, and then applying for jobs again. I'm curious though, how much harder will it be to get hired without having a job at the time of applying?

One pro to this would be I could use my supervisors as a reference (it would be awkward to use them while still employed here).

Many thanks!

EDIT: Yes I'm very burnt out too. Mainly by the case management aspects of my job.

Hi all.

I am a social worker in his 30s looking for a place to live in Los Feliz. Do you know of anything?

I'm open to my own apartment near good neighbors, or a room in a house with other kind people. I would strongly prefer parking though as I work away from the house, go to concerts and art shows, etc.

For what its worth, I have great credit, excellent references, and ample savings (I work full-time as well for a non-profit). I also don't drink or smoke and have no pets.

If you know of anything either open now or opening in the future, please let me know. Thank you!!!
