"Murder she wrote" 1984 tv show question

To those who have watched it: what film archetype would you say the main character Jessica Fletcher is portraying? I'm not talking her body shape or specific fashion choices, I'm talking the type casting for a character like that. If you have an idea, please mention your reasoning as well.

I feel like it's something either classic or gamine as an overall vibe with SC as my main 'theory', but I'm curious how other people perceive the character. Thanks in advance to anyone willing to discuss!

Isla Fischer as a regular person?

Where do you think she (or a woman with her visual presentation) would land if she was to DIY her own type with the book and the outline?

I'm asking cause I believe this particular visual presentation of her verified ID isn't talked about/acknowledged much and a person looking like this can easily be swayed to explore other things
