I Resigned, Then They Ended It Early

I decided to resign from my job on Wednesday because I had to move back in with my parents since I could no longer afford the rent near my job. I gave them formal notice that I could work until Monday because my landlord required me to move out ASAP. My supervisor verbally agreed to Monday.

However, late Thursday night, I got a text saying they decided Thursday would be my last day instead of Monday. So I was willing and able to work Friday and Monday, but they ended my employment early and I lost two days of wages.

Would I potentially qualify for unemployment benefits for those two days since they were the ones who moved my last day up, even though I originally resigned?

How to schedule interviews when working an 8 hour job?

How do most people handle interviews when they’re already working a full-time Monday–Friday job? I’m out of PTO and I can’t keep calling in sick every few weeks because eventually my job is going to start wondering what’s going on. Most recruiters seem to only want to schedule interviews during the morning or afternoon, and I only get a 30-minute lunch break. Some interviews I’ve had in the past lasted close to an hour, so lunch isn’t always enough time. I’m trying to find a new job while keeping my current one, but I’m not sure how people make it work. Any advice?
