First Time Turning.... This is addictive.
Hi folks, it's not anything to shout home about next to the work posted on here, but I figured I'd be brave. Picked up an old cheap lathe on sunday, stripped, cleaned and serviced it, went hunting for logs with the little one yesterday in the woods out back of my house, cut the one in the photo in half and turned this little thing. I won't even pretend to know what I'm doing or if I even used the right gouges, but I learned a lot by experimenting. I'm embarrassed to admit i don't even know what variety of tree it is that I used. Anyways there's a lot of very talented people posting on here it's very inspiring.
