just want to preface this by saying i DO NOT WANT A REBOOT 🙅‍♀️ this is one of my favorite shows, i don’t want the era of reboots to touch this classic, but a different redditor recently made a post suggesting patrick wharburton would make a great modern-day col. flagg, and it made me wonder who else might be a good fit for these characters.

soooo, here we are! :D some of the actors i chose you may not agree w, i just thought they (in my opinion) fit these characters best. i wasn’t too concerned w ages of the actors, more their overall personalities and past projects that show their range of comedy / drama. feel free to list your own choices or vehemently oppose mine and tell me why i’m totally wrong 🤣🙏

hawkeye (the hardest to cast, imo) — i’ve been seeing people say bill hader. he’s amazing and has a lot of range, but i disagree. i’m going for adam brody or jonathan bailey

trapper (if they don’t go w bj) — joe keery

radar — gaten matarazzo or skyler gisondo

col. blake (if they don’t go w potter) — jason segal

col. potter (if they don’t go w blake — jk simmons

margaret — stephanie beatriz

frank (if they don’t go w charles) — tramell tilman

charles (if they don’t go w frank) — tramell tilman

klinger — mena massoud (i’d definitely prefer to see an actor w lebanese heritage as klinger bc it was a v important part of his character, but i’m not familiar w enough lebanese-american actors D: i do think mena is a decent placeholder for now, tho)

father mulcahy — zack woods

bj (if they don’t go w trapper) — glenn powell or jesse williams

col. flagg — patrick wharburton (respect towards this redditor’s post for inspiring me to make this list)

captain tuttle — captain tuttle (hehe)

i thought ab adding my reasoning for each actor i chose, but it would’ve made for an even longer post and this already feels like a novel on reddit, lawlz. hopefully they’re a lil self-explanatory, but if you actually took the time to read this mess and disagree w anyone i chose, i’m happy to explain my choice in the comments 🙏

i’ve always loved margaret’s character (even when she can be a megabitch) and her interactions w everyone, especially hawkeye, but i absolutely HATED how she was behaving after the night in the hut. i loved the storyline, i loved what happened, but i couldn’t stand the way she turned into some preteen crush-er w a delusion that they were going to “be together.” fawning all over him despite the fact that he was confused, uncomfortable, and clearly not reciprocating her energy and affections.

i feel like the writers took away so much of what made her HER all for one episode, and then they never mention anything about it again? like, what was the point of making margaret part of the hawkeye harem of nurses? she was always strong, and smart, and tough (and sometimes a megabitch, yes). i have a hard time believing she’d fall so hard so quick like that. i don’t take issue w the fact that they slept together, i thought the episode was well-written, well-acted, and one of the many examples the series shows of what can happen to people when they’re stressed out, terrified, uncertain if they’ll live to see the next morning, or all of the above. i wish they had woken up after the chaos of the previous night remembering what happened, and awkwardly having a conversation where they realize it was stress / fear-induced, a one-time thing, and come out where both parties still respect each other. the way she actually behaved, i feel like she lost all that respect. what i loved about margaret’s / hawkeye’s relationship was despite the fact that they bicker or disagree w each other’s actions, there was always mutual respect as professionals after a certain point early on in the series. how they wrote her to be in this episode just didn’t / doesn’t sit right w me. and i always wondered if the actress had these thoughts when she got the script for the episode

TLDR; margaret was written to be like some desperate, delusional, schoolgirl crush-er towards hawkeye, for literally one episode, after a chaotic, tense, fearful night in a hut, despite all the evidence regarding their relationship throughout the series that shows why she wouldn’t behave that way. they never mention the night in the hut again, but it just seemed so disrespectful to the character and made zero sense to me.

Hi all 👋 so my bf and I are still trying to get rid of our GA+ tickets as well as our wednesday camping pass. Still heartbroken that we can’t go, this is literally my favorite festival 😭 I’ve been going since I was fifteen, so it’s been a lil over a decade of vibing on the farm for me. But I DO want others to experience the community and support roo is known for (or re-experience, if you’re a roo vet).

We’ve posted here and on the ticket exchange site, and so far we’ve gotten some DMs, but no further responses. Pleeeeease help us make at least some of our money back 🙏 we paid $1805 total for everything after taxes and service fees, $1625 for the wristbands, $180 for the camping pass. We’re also willing to ship the wristbands overnight since we know the festival is coming up super soon! We’re definitely willing to sell them for less just to make some of our money back, please let me know! 💛☮️🎈🌈

Edit: just to give an idea of what we’re hoping for, we’re okay with dropping the price for everything down significantly. $1200 is what we’re hoping to get back, but since the fest is 2 weeks away, if that’s still too much we get it. but we definitely don’t want to go less than $1000 though. the only reason we aren’t going anymore is bc we just bought a house and we now need that money to replace an old water heater and some of the damage it’s done to the flooring :/

We’re selling 2 GA+ tickets and a Wednesday entry primitive car camping pass. We paid $1625 for the GA+ tickets, $180 for camping (includes taxes / fees), we’re asking for $1600 or best offer. We’re willing to negotiate, we want others to be able to vibe in our place 🙌💛🌈☮️🎈
