Porchetta Festival of Ariccia

We’re going to be in Rome in the beginning of September and are considering taking a day trip to Ariccia for the annual Porchetta Festival. Has anyone been? How is it like?

Cold coffee help! Iced Americano? Caffè shakerato?

My wife and I are visiting Rome in three weeks. It is our first time after many Italy visits that we are coming in the hot months. Also our aging stomachs doesn’t allow us just order doppios like we used to.

Being New Yorkers, we love our iced coffee drink (to be precise, we only drink iced americanos) but we also want to respect the local coffee culture and hate getting an eye roll when we order coffee.

Is it acceptable to order an iced americano? Is it more common to order a Shakerato? How would one order them in Italian?

Grazie!
