Is American exceptionalism just supremacy in fancier words?

What does American exceptionalism mean exactly?

If another country had the same ideas would it not be considered supremacist ideas? Does American exceptionalism allow America to aviod being held accountable? Is it not an excuse to act in whatever way you want, and cite exceptionalism as an excuse?

Why are people hating on the french and english football teams for having many black players?

I've seen crazy amounts of hate directed towards these teams cuz there are many black players like Mbape, Saka, Bellingham, Osman Dembelle ect.

In reality all these players are born in those respective countries some are 3rd generation. They are also regarded as the best players in the world, and both countries have benefited a lot from a diverse squad. If you compare france pre 1998 and today, france won 2 world cups, made it to a world cup final in 2022 and now their squad is probably the best in the world.

Same for England, they improved a lot since 2016, 2 euro finals, wold Cup semi final in 2018 and also have some of the best squads in the world. So where does the hate come from?
