Help me fact check this please...

I took my 2026 Hyundai Palisade Calligraphy hybrid for service for a couple of issues I am encountering. The answers they gave me seem not correct and I would love your help fact checking if this is true as far as you know!

1) charging pad on middle console does not charge my phone well and always over heats my phone. Dealer said phone should never be in use while it is being charged (which makes no sense considering the Android Auto feature). They also said there is a clear label on the console when you buy the car that says it will overheat the phone. I do not recall seeing that at all. Do you all remember anything or experience the same issue?

2) the "eye on road alert" feature doesn't disable, even though I have gone into driver assist menu and disabled it. Dealer says it really can't be disabled, despite the ability to uncheck it in driver assist menu. This sounds like BS to me. Anyone else have any experience with this?

3) Paint issues: my paint is chipping badly and I complained about it to Hyundai corporate after reading that there were others having same issues. The dealer told me because I had done a ceramic paint protection on my car, the paint warranty was void. I threatened to sue them and reminded them their own sales rep had suggested I do ceramic to protect the dark paint, and the service department quickly backtracked and said they'd look at making an exception, which I think is absolutely abusive and absurd. Anyone know about this paint warranty termination when you treat your car to a paint protection like ceramic?

Dealer is Capitol Hyundai in San Jose, California.

Hi all.

I have a 26 Galaxy Maroon Hybrid Calligraphy and have driven it for just about 4000 miles. Right around the 2000 mark, I started to notice there were small dings appearing across the front and side of the car. I suspected this was from debris from highway driving in the Bay Area. I never go off road and always stick to paved roads in silicon valley. I got a matching touch up paint kit and filled in those two spots.

Every time I wash my car (always by hand using very soft micro fiber cloth, since I paid for ceramic paint treatment upon taking the car home from dealer) I am finding more dings that go down to base... so I am thinking the paint is faulty, really shallow and the top coat is non-existent.

I filed a complaint with Hyundai America and am waiting to see what they have to say. Anyone else here experiencing same issue with the 2026 Palisade? Please share your experience is you are able to. Many thanks!
