Sponsored cadetship return of service

Do officer cadetship always have a return of service? How enforceable is it? If you get sponsored but decide not to work with them after you have qualified, what would be the consequences?

Entry level routes

I wanted to join the RFA as catering and support rating, but I got given a 1 year ENG1 certificate because I need regular blood tests. The RFA only accepts certificates valid for 2 years.

I don't want to do a sponsored cadetship and be trapped in a long return of service. I can't find any seafarer apprentiships, and it sounds like there's not a lot of opportunities available for apprentiships in the UK anyway?

What are my options? I'd be happy to be a seafarer or do hospitality on ships but I don't know how to start or where to apply.

AIB retake

I'm applying for the RFA as logistics officer trainee. I just finished my AIB group task today, but I think I failed it as I barely spoke at all. From what I heard, you are allowed 2 attempts at AIB. What happens if you fail both attempts? Can I reapply in the future or am I barred from Officer roles forever?

I read online that there are friendly seals on W Pier in Howth Harbour, however the posts were from a long time ago. Can someone let me know whether the seals are still around? Will I be able to see them if I go next week? If so, is there a specific time of the day that's best? Thanks!
