Alright… someone please tell me what the secret is to the litter box thing 😅

I swear I’ve dumped enough money into this cat’s bathroom to renovate my own 😂 seriously though… what combo of litter box, litter, mats, cleaning routine, deodorizer, etc. has worked best for you?

I’m attaching pictures of Simone’s current setup (& a little cat tax although she’s def thinking “Mother, why are you discussing my bathroom habits with strangers?” lol)

Currently I’ve got:
-Stainless steel litter box
-Enclosed litter cabinet (I drilled ventilation holes in the back)
-Large litter trapping mat underneath
-Air purifier nearby
-Arm & Hammer Double Duty clumping litter

I switched to stainless because everyone said plastic holds onto odors soo I figured that would solve the problem… it did not 🫠

I’m pretty good about scooping (usually daily… although I’ll admit life happens & occasionally it turns into every 2-3 days). But even after I do a full deep clean (vacuum everything, completely dump & replace litter, wipe down the enclosure inside & out, clean the box, etc..) I still feel like that smell comes back way sooner than I’d expect.

the other issue… HOW DOES THE LITTER END UP EVERYWHERE?!

I’m convinced Simone has a side hustle where she secretly sprinkles litter around my apartment while I’m asleep. It somehow ends up in rooms she doesn’t even go into… frustrating !!!

I’m thinking it’s probably time to replace my litter mat. Does anyone have one they absolutely love? I’m even considering putting a second mat inside the enclosure underneath the box and keeping another one outside (like I currently have)

I’ve been using Arm & Hammer litter (sometimes we switch between different varieties) for a little more than a year now, but I’m definitely open to trying something new if people think another brand is genuinely worth it. I’ve heard mixed things about PrettyLitter. I know it’s expensive, but if everyone tells me it’s life-changing I’ll consider making the switch….

I also stopped using litter box liners years ago because she treated them like a personal excavation project & would shred them to hell which only made moreee of a mess.

Soo basically… if you’ve discovered the holy grail of litter box setups, please share your wisdom 🙏🏼😅

What litter do you swear by? What mats actually trap litter? Any products that really help with odor?
Or is this just my life as a cat mom?

Reliable mechanic for possible wheel bearing issue on 2019 Kia Sorento? Need ASAP if possible

Hi! Looking for recommendations for a reliable, reasonably priced mechanic in the Atlanta/Decatur area who may be able to take a look at my car ASAP.

I drive a 2019 Kia Sorento with about 87k miles. I brought it to the Kia dealership this morning because I’m trying to make sure it’s safe for a long road trip this week, and they mentioned it may be an issue with the passenger-side rear wheel bearing, but I’m still waiting on an official diagnosis.

If it does end up being a wheel bearing or similar issue, I’d really like to get a second opinion/quote from a trustworthy local mechanic rather than being stuck with dealership pricing — especially if it’s not covered under warranty.

Does anyone have a mechanic they trust who could potentially look at it quickly and help me figure out whether it’s safe to drive / what needs to be repaired? Thank you so much!

I was sending gifts to my friends on PoGo & noticed this postcard from the Free Art Box in Avondale Estates. I’ve never seen this before but I’m assuming it’s like a Little Free Library!? I just moved to the area so I’m not super familiar with it but I’d love to check this out!! Anyone know where it’s located? Or if there are others? I have art to donate 😎
