2025 GCSE leavers how do you feel about year 13 or second year? And for the new yr 12s please make sure you revise early but, enjoy this year.

I finished my GCSEs back in 2025 and I’m starting year 13 in 2 months and I can’t lie, I’m scared. I’ve heard so many bad things about it from former year 13s about the workload, university stress and yeah, I’m not looking forward to it.

That’s why I’ll say this to the new year 12s please, make sure you start revision early but, at the same time enjoy your first year because, it genuinely goes by so fast it’s crazy.

Sometimes I genuinely hate this sub

I just thought I would say this and I know I will get some hate for this because, at the same time I do still engage with this sub sometimes because, I’m bored and likely will continue to but, sometimes I genuinely do hate this sub.

It creates so much divide, its crazy and at first I thought it was interesting until people started arguing about what is the best generation and the worst generation or what ranges of birth years grew up with the best stuff. I don’t think it’s Gen X that causes most of these problems on here but, mostly the divide between early Z and late Z (only some of them), I know most of you don’t really care but, some people will litterly make their birth year their whole personality and think it’s some achievement and I find that really weird.

It’s gotten so bad that I’ve seen people on here (mainly late Z like 2008-2012) and even 05-07 and at times even just other generations and older adults genuinely ashamed for the year they were born and that needs to stop. This might sound a little corny but, I think it needs to be said. Weather you’re gen Z, gen alpha, millennials or gen X no matter what year you were born you’re experiences shouldn’t be defined by some range and you’re childhood is something that you personally experienced. If you want to claim that your childhood matched that generation of years you can and no birth year is more superior than the other, it’s just a year at the end of the day.
