I am digitizing some digital8 tapes with my pc and an adapter daisy-chain but my computer is only recognizing the T3 to T2 adapter. My pc has a thunderbolt 3 port, 10th gen processor. I'm wondering if I need a firewire PCle instead, although I have read others have problems with that as well.

I'm digitizing some tapes. I can usually sort out horizontal lines. This is new. The camera was working fine in the past few weeks. I tried cleaning the camcorder with swabs. There was no difference.
