Does anyone know why the cave is locked? I have already finished the story... Did i miss something?

I'm looking to catch >!Kokepole (i already have his flute found in area 4)!< but i can't find 2 pieces of the ancient platform puzzle. There is the one in the left i cant use because of the wrong order, can anyone help me? i went all around the dungeon without finding a single one...
