My Phantom A10 Snapped in Half After Less Than 2 Months Do NOT Buy This Shit
i wanted to make this post to warn anyone thinking about buying a Phantom A10 from costco
I got mine as a birthday present and rode it normally around my neighborhood. No crazy jumps, no crashes, maybe a but of foot drag wheelie but thats it. After less than 2 months of ownership, the scooter literally snapped on me while riding. Im riding down a residential street going 20mph and it starts to bend slowly, and im riding back home the bar are essentially down to my knees. The build quality is honestly unacceptable. A scooter should never fail like that under semi normal riding conditions, especially when it’s marketed as a reliable sturdy electric scooter. If the frame can break that quickly, I seriously question the quality control and engineering behind this thing. The brakes were another huge issue. Even before it broke, the braking performance was terrible. Stopping distances felt way longer than they should’ve been, for almost getting hit for not being able to stop in time is a issue. For something that can reach quick speeds, its a major safety problem. What makes it even worse is seeing people online defend these scooters because theirs hasn’t broken yet. Mine was fine too until it fucking snapped. If you’re considering a Phantom A10, I’d strongly recommend looking at other options. A scooter with poor braking and a frame that can fail within a couple months isn’t something I’d trust or recommend to anyone.
