I stumbled upon this idea earlier and wanted to expand on it. Anyone using a SMR primarily as a sound source? Was thinking about dropping one into a pod and trigger sequencing it with a Digitakt/ocd.cv. Anything cool I should consider or be concerned with? Ty!
Been getting more into ambient tracks with percussion and my kicks are too... big? I know the basis of this should be "start with a better sample", but am I off thinking just a standard 808 can yield something palatable when filtered correctly in the box?

Soft, a little boxy, etc. I get pulling back on the amp envelope, but can someone just give me how you'd go about filtering a kick to get something similar? For the life of me high passing and decreasing the decay is not doing it. Thanks!
Needed a little exercise in composition rather than just the same 4 parts coming in and out. Meandering degrees of success, but time to get literally all my cables off this patch.
