35+ enemies with crossbows vs my 6 without not going well
i'm seeing lots of posts about success in defending with just elevated archers, merlon, towers, and maze + doorways to gun down raiders as they enter...
but thats not my experience whatsoever. i'm facing 35+ enemies coming in where 8-10 of them are archers with John Wick aim that gun my archers down through merlons from 2 stories below. they literally get into range and a few seconds later my archers (in mail armor and plate) are getting 0.5'd. merlons seem to be doing nothing at all...
every raid i lose 1-2 people so i have no one with carpentry to make crossbows of my own. even if it weren't for the archers, they bring enough other heavy hitters that they blitz through my 15 reinforced door maze like a bull through a china shop.
i stand no chance at all against these guys and i have no counter to their archers apparently. what am i missing (other than lowering the difficulty)?
