Why-oh-why did I read the doomer FB comments 😭

Happy Sunday folks.

I made the fatal mistake of reading the comments section on the clubs Facebook post after the match, just full of the most doomer supporters who think the season is over after a loss, along with a hundred flog Norwood supporters gloating

I knew it would be exactly this, but I still did it anyway. Anybody else guilty of this dumb arse behaviour?

Bloods leapfrog the Crows into the Top 5

Lightning delays couldn't stop Westies from demolishing Port by 105 points, while the Eagles fought back from 30 points down to sneak home against the Crows.

It was old school mud-bath footy, where you can't read the numbers on the guernseys any more.

Charlie Robinson-Cay breaks the game open with a huge run

For those who didn't catch yesterday's game, we were down by 8 points late in the third quarter, kicking into a stiff breeze, and I'd say the game was a fairly stagnant arm-wrestle, we were playing okay but the dogs were holding us at bay.

Enter new recruit Charlie Robinson-Cay from the Mornington Peninsula, promoted from the reserves, who took the game on with blistering speed, fending off 3 tackles, taking 3 bounces, before hand-passing to Lovelock (who started the whole play with his tap forward), who subsequently laced out a pass to Corey Lyons who goaled.

It was a bit scrappy at the end, but more importantly his ability to take the game on broke the deadlock on a low-scoring game, it was brilliant stuff. Dare I say this guy might have a role to play come finals time.

Bays shake off the dogs

Good fight back in difficult conditions with some stars out, plus playing the whole game with one player short on the bench

Hope Parnell is okay with whatever ankle injury he has (?) but it didn't look great

Corey Lyons BOG

SANFL stars fire back at plans to axe reserves

Towards the end of the article there are a few words by Alex Martini, it's really good to hear what the players think (i.e. the same as us --> this is bullshit)

SANFL warned over reserves future

Interested in people's thoughts on the potential axing of SANFL reserves

I think it would be a terrible move, for the reasons well articulated in the article by CEO's and coaches

Brad McCarthy 100 games this weekend

And what a stellar year he is having too. Career best form maybe. It has been good to see Doc swing him into centre bounces. Rotations through midfield have really evened the load this year, a noticeable change. Brad has clearly worked hard on his game and is now a second Mr Reliable alongside Martini, a real team man. Go well Brad
