ALESSANDRO CIRCATI SOLD PERMANENTLY TO SL BENFICA Parma, August 19, 2026 – Parma Calcio 1913 announces that it has permanently sold defender Alessandro Circati to SL Benfica. Having arrived in Parma in 2021 in the Primavera team, the following season he was added to the First Team and made his Serie B debut.After becoming a regular in the professional group, Alessandro made a total of 96 appearances for Parma, 37 of which were in Serie A, scoring 2 goals and being among the key players not only in the 2023/24 Serie B victory, but also in the team's survival in the following two seasons. During his time with the Gialloblu, Circati also made his debut for the Australian national team, with whom he reached 17 appearances and 1 goal, also taking part in the qualification process and the final phase of the last World Cup. President Kyle J. Krause, CEO Federico Cherubini, and the entire Parma Calcio family extend their sincere thanks to Alessandro and wish him the best of success as he continues his career.

30 Years in an extended English Pyramid. AMA.

It may actually be 29 years but the computer is grinding now so I have to give it up. Luckily, it ended on a high. I have loaded leagues all the way down to level 10, and Burgess Hill Town, started in the Isthmian South. No other leagues.

How I played

  • Loaded an extended pyramid mod (it was top notch for detail.)
  • Simulated all matches (via a skin that allows that)
  • Most things were delegated to the Assistants
  • I did manage the match day squad, player trading, team morale matters, 1st team staff and bugging the board to spend money.

What I found

  • The board didn't improve anything much till maybe League 2. Final stadium is still quite small.
  • I never got any players through the academy, even near the end when it was maxed
  • The lower leagues are a chore to get out of.

The Gaffer: Sir Dick Headsgate. Knighted before his football career, Richard Headsgate became affectionately known as Sir Dick!

Curiosity: Save game file size is 440mb.

Gripe: Why can't you just improve your Training (or other things) like 5 steps at once, rather than asking the board every 6 months and they increase it half a star each time. Same as Youth. Say you have a ton of money and want to build the new La Masia, why should the game stop you doing that.

I won 5-3 with Three Red Cards

This is a save that I am simulating each match. So perhaps the Simulating mechanic is not quite as good as playing the game full. Or my team is full of a beasts. Either/or
