Traffic halted in Kanpur so an MLA can garland a minister. When did public infrastructure become a personal playground?🤔

This recent incident from Kanpur where a busy highway bypass was blocked off by supporters just to hold a celebratory welcome for a visiting politician.

While citizens burn fuel, waste time, and get late for work, the people we elect are busy with photo-ops. It begs the question: why are we forced to accommodate this standard of political entitlement in a modern democracy?

From internet meme to a full digital movement: Is satire the only way left for young Indians to criticize the system? 👇

The rapid rise of the Cockroach Janta Party shows exactly how fast Gen-Z and Millennials can weaponize irony to make a political statement. The founder, Abhijeet Dipke, mentioned that "cockroaches only exist in filth and rot," signaling that the name highlights a broken system rather than the youth themselves.

When standard debates feel completely polarized, meme culture seems to be creating a weird alternative space for political expression.

  • Are you planning to sign up as a joke, or do you think this space could actually become a platform to discuss issues that actually matter to the youth?

Is this peak deflection? MEA questioned on fundamental rights and PM press briefings. How do you view this response? 🤔

Ran into this transcript of a recent intense back-and-forth between a reporter and the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA):

  • Reporter: Why should Norway trust India when fundamental rights are being violated?
  • MEA: We have Gandhi, ancient civilisation, and a Constitution that guarantees fundamental rights.
  • Reporter: Exactly. I know India has fundamental rights. That is why I asked about violations.
  • MEA: If rights are violated, people can go to court.
  • Reporter: That’s the point. Why are people forced to go to court for basic rights?
  • MEA: It’s my press conference. I will decide.
  • Reporter: When will PM take free questions from the press?
  • MEA: Next question.

Do you think the reporter’s follow-ups were fair, or did the MEA handle a tough spot the only way they could?

Samrat Chaudhary 'walking' to work now is the ultimate PR stunt of 2026.

Is it just me, or has the "Common Man" cosplay reached an all-time high this week? Ever since the PM made those 7 appeals for fuel conservation (thanks, West Asia crisis), BJP leaders are basically competing for a "Simplicity Oscar."

The Current Scorecard:

  • PM Modi: Slashes his convoy size by 50%, just two SUVs now.
  • Fadnavis: Hits the Bullet bike. Nothing says "austerity" like a 350cc Royal Enfield and a police escort on Pulsars.
  • Nitin Gadkari: Ditches the carcade for a bus. To be fair, if anyone was going to take a bus, it’s the Road & Transport Minister.
  • Samrat Chaudhary: The clear winner, literally walking 500m to the secretariat in Patna today.

It’s a masterclass in PR. While we’re being told to skip destination weddings and stop buying gold to "save the forex," the leadership is out here doing a 2026 version of a "padyatra" to the office.

Is this genuine leadership "leading by example," or are we just watching a very expensive photoshoot of people pretending to be us? Who do you think is winning the PR Olympics?

Bhopal is burning because a mob couldn't mind their own business.

A 5-year relationship between two consenting adults has turned Bhopal into a war zone.

On May 10, a mob raided a hotel room, assaulted a man named Arif Khan, and paraded him after smearing him with cow dung. Despite it being a consensual relationship, the attackers claimed "Love Jihad" while the police reportedly stood by.

Now, massive protests have erupted because the community views the attack and the viral videos as a direct insult to their faith. The city is now on edge with stone-pelting and heavy police deployment.

The Bottom Line: If the police had stopped the mob at the hotel, the city wouldn't be on the streets today.

Why is it easier for a mob to break into a hotel room than it is for the law to protect two adults?

22 Lakh lives on hold, a CBI probe, and yet the Education Minister still has his job. How?

It’s actually insane. The NTA has officially cancelled NEET-UG 2026 because the paper was leaked on Telegram and WhatsApp before the exam even happened. 120 questions were just floating around online while 22 lakh students were breaking their backs studying.

But here’s the real kicker: Why does the Education Minister get to keep his seat after every single disaster?

Whether it’s paper leaks, "grace marks" scams, or total systemic failure, the script is always the same:

  • Deny there's a leak for weeks.
  • Wait for the outrage to peak.
  • Hand it over to the CBI.
  • Tell the students to "just give the re-test."

Where is the accountability? If a CEO failed this hard, they’d be out in a day. But in India, we just expect 22 lakh kids to deal with the mental trauma and financial hit while the people at the top face zero consequences.

How many more "re-tests" do students have to give before someone at the top actually takes responsibility and resigns? Is the Education Minister’s chair more important than the future of our doctors?

This is the headmaster of a Bihar government school. He can’t even spell "January." And we are giving the future of our country in their hands.

How is a man who can't spell basic months even a teacher, let alone a headmaster? Is it corruption, a failed system, or do we just not care about government schools anymore?

PM Modi’s new "To-Do List" for Indians: No gold, no travel, and work from home. Are we back in 2020?

Look at these suggestions from the PM today.

  • Stop buying gold.
  • Stop foreign trips and weddings.
  • Stop buying foreign products.
  • Save petrol/diesel and WFH.

It’s 2026 and we’re being told to live like it’s a lockdown again because the economy is struggling with the West Asia crisis. It’s funny how the "common man" is always asked to make "sacrifices" and "save the forex," while the government continues with billion-dollar projects and mega-rallies.

Is it "patriotism" to stop living your life, or is this just cover for bad economic management? Why is the burden always on our plates?
