Why do people say that MHA characters are FTL?

I've seen people say that Shigaraki, Deku, AFO, All Might and Bakugo are FTL. Then when I ask about it, it gets reduced down to ftl reactions, attacks and perception due to "dodging lasers" or "using radio waves".

I see why radio waves are classed as a light speed attack, but it still needs time to charge up. And one attack doesn't mean that the entire kit of a character is now light speed let alone faster than light. And ftl reactions simply doesn't make sense. If somebody was to hold a gun up to you and you dodge the bullet that they shoot at you, thats prediction, not reaction or perception. So dodging a laser shouldn't be classified at a ftl feat.

The implications of somebody being faster than light breaks modern day physics which isn't addressed at all within the series so I fail to see how people scale mha characters at ftl. Obviously it is an anime so its not going to be accurate to physics, but if Horikoshi was attempting to create a character with the potential to surpass the speed of the universes limit, I feel like there should be some heavy emphasis on that or at least spoken about more.

Now obviously MHA characters are fast, I am not denying that. Crossing cities in under a minute or traversing a large body of water in short time is definitely a crazy speed feat. So unless what I've just spouted was a load of nonsense, can someone explain to me where this idea came from and how its actually derived?
