How I thinkEoS Yuta does against JJK characters (primarily with TE aura). Evidence in the body text, open for debate. Just to clarify, this isn't my actual ranking of characters. This is just how Yuta does against them. Hopefully you Yutaliban members will understand and somewhat agree with me lol.
Just to clarify, I do think that Yuta, Kenjaku, Yorozu, and Kashimo are around the same level of strength. It’s just that Yuta and TE aura hard-counter practically everything.
For a start, Jacob's Ladder (JL) is stated to "nullify all Jujutsu". CE shouldn't be an exception to this. CE reinforcement still counts as Jujutsu. CE manipulation still counts as Jujutsu. CE output still counts as Jujutsu. The control of CE itself is Jujutsu, however the actual CE itself is not. That's why people who can control their CE are called "Jujutsu sorcerers", while people who are just born with normal CE are just normal people. There’s also no reason why CE manipulation wouldn’t count as Jujutsu.
This is backed by the fact that nobody, and I mean nobody has ever been able to use CE manipulation while under the effect of JL. Meguna couldn’t even run away or tank TE aura or JL, and Meguna with CE reinforcement is undoubtedly capable of blitzing Hana, even if he is over 50 metres away from her. The fact that he didn’t even try to is just proof that he couldn’t, especially since he had like 10 whole seconds to react, which is plenty of time to blitz Hana or at least escape (images 2-5). TF Sukuna only got hit with JL in Yuta’s Domain for about 1 second, so we really can’t say much about that. However when Sukuna got hit by Hana’s JL outside of the Domain a few chapters later along with Yuji, neither of them could run up JL. Sukuna has been shown to easily air jump, even when under pressure, which is something he did only a few chapters earlier. But seeing as he opted not to and only decided to jump off of rocks, it should be pretty clear that JL rid Sukuna of the ability to air jump in that moment (image 8). Both him and Yuji had to jump off of rocks with no CE, which is not a far fetched explanation in the slightest (image 8 and 11). Sukuna hasn’t really shown insane physicals, but it’s absolutely wrong to say he doesn’t have insane physicals. Yuji is also definitively a physical monsterhouse, and he’s been shown to jump up to the top of a 4-story building without CE (images 12-13). Jumping up a couple of falling rocks that are 7 metres apart at max is something they could do with literal ease, which they in fact did.
Sukuna Black Flashing Todo just a few pages later isn’t a way to disprove this, as the impact of Sukuna punching Todo was literally shown to be outside the area of Jacob’s Ladder’s range (image 9). He wasn’t in Jacob’s Ladder when he reinforced his punch with CE. In fact, the fact that Gege specifically drew Sukuna’s hand with CE around it as opposed to leaving it as a regular hand (even when reinforcing themselves with CE, Gege usually doesn’t draw that CE) means that Gege specifically wanted to highlight that now that Sukuna is outside of Jacob’s Ladder, he can now reinforce his body with CE. Otherwise, Gege had no reason to highlight that Sukuna was reinforcing his fist with CE (image 10). This is the same with Yuji (image 11).
One of the biggest reasons is that TE aura just one-shots Shikigami and Cursed Spirits. We know for a fact that Shikigami and Cursed Spirits are just manifestations of CE. They are CE shaped into the form of a being, and on multiple occasions, TE aura in fact just one-shots them (images 2-3, images 6-7. It’s not like it does some continuous damage like Anti-Gravity or sudden damage that lasts like Granite Blast or something, it literally just instantly desummoned the Shikigami and killed the Cursed Spirit. Like literally, it just disappeared. If TE aura targeted something other than CE then this wouldn’t be the case- it would likely slowly just chip away at the target, like what it did to Meguna. But the fact that it caused the Shikigami and Cursed Spirit to disappear entirely (and the Shikigami from over 50 metres away at that), makes it safe to say that TE aura just dismantles any formation of CE entirely, include CE reinforcement (CE reinforcement is a formation of CE, like Shikigami and Cursed Spirits).
Also the most obvious argument is the fact that Gege said it himself (image 14). However, the reason I added everything else is because there are multiple ways to interpret this statement (like how TE aura targets CE, and doesn’t dismantle it), however, with the arguments I have provided, there’s really no denying it. Which means Yuta’s TE aura:
- One-shots all Shikigami and Cursed Spirits
- Nullifies all CE reinforcement (which is a direct counter to Jackpot)
- Bars off RCT to anybody within in the targeted area
- Takes away the ability to output CE (which is a direct counter to things like Ryu’s non-CT Granite Blasts)
- Destroys all barriers (which is a direct counter to all closed Domains
- Does heaps of damage to any incarnated sorcerer
- Disables the effect of all Cursed Tools, including things like ISOH, SSK, CoaTM, and more
- Nullifies all CTs (which is a direct counter to CT reliant fighters, like Yuki and Uro. It also one-shots Kenjaku)
On top of that, TE aura is
- Unblockable
- Undodgeable
- Lightspeed
- 50 metre+ range
Reasoning for my diffs:
No diff: I say “no diff” to anybody who gets one-shot by TE aura, no matter their strength. This includes all Shikigami, Cursed Spirits, and Kenjaku. Yes, even though Kenjaku is stronger than Yuta without TE aura, at the end of the day, Kenjaku gets one-shot by TE aura and he can’t do anything about it
Low diff: “Low diff” is what I label characters that get their whole kit taken away due to TE aura (e.g. Hakari, Yuki), but still require Yuta and/or Rika to land the finishing blow, unlike the “No diff” tier in which they all just get one-shot by only TE aura
Mid diff: “Mid diff” is for characters who are super strong physically and aren’t reliant on CE. Obviously, this is mainly just Maki, Toji, and Yuji
High diff: “High diff” is when a character’s abilities are completely unaffected by TE aura’s abilities. This tier only includes Yorozu, because her Bug Armour stays regardless of whether her CT turns off or not, and Bug Armour seemingly doesn’t require CE reinforcement. We already know that Bug Armour Yorozu heavily outstats Yuta, but once Yuta pops his Domain, it’s over for Bug Armour Yorozu. But since TE aura is a non-factor and Bug Armour Yorozu has way better stats, it is a high diff fight for Yuta
