Paid for a resin figure I’m disappointed with 🥲
First pic is prototype, last two are of the finished statue. This was my first time preordering a resin figure. I have only one other I bought second hand that I’m in love with. I typically only collect pvc. As a figure collector, I’m pretty aware of the fact that final products tend to look a little different from the prototype. However, I’ve never been this upset with how inaccurate a figure turned out. Mine hasn’t actually shown up yet, but I don’t know what I’m gonna do when it does. Hopefully it’ll grow on me somehow I guess :’) Selling resin figs does not seem like an easy thing to accomplish.
Anyway, the figure itself is by Saorise Studio of Tanjiro and Nezuko. I adored how it’s a recreation of the scene where he’s carrying her through the snow. I did as much research as I could on the manufacturer before preordering and felt okay doing so. When I saw the in-stock pictures on FNC’s website I honestly got depressed. Tanjiro’s face is particularly appalling to me 😭 But almost nothing is accurate to the prototype. The scar on both of their heads are not the same, there’s almost no snow actually covering them, I’m just baffled. God his face is so bad. Her’s doesn’t look the same either, but it’s at least tolerable. I feel like I threw 300 bucks down the drain lol Someone console me pls
