Looking for life experience from others for 65+ backs
This morning I didn't even know what questions to ask but already i'm learning. Thank you Reddit.
My question now is, especially if you're over 65 and switched to an adjustable bed, did it change your life? What are your key takeaways in your experience? Reputable vs non reputable companies or advertising or that sort of thing to look for. Far too many scams out there now to sift through each one.
TLDR below. Thank you Reddit!
At this point in my life (68, F) I don't have it in me to do the research, I just need a decent bed. Every one we've bought in our 40 years together has wound up sagging despite their "lifetime" guarantees and I have absolutely no clue what it is I want or need, which is why I'm hoping the real life experiences of those here can help.
Ideally I want an adjustable bed where both the head and legs lift and is comfortable for me being on my tablet, which I am at least 4 hours a night. Massage would be nice, but not a requirement at the moment. My husband and I have different sleep schedules so it would be 2 twins on a king size frame. He has arthritis in his neck in addition to all the general aches and pains of nearly 70 years.
Budget is not as big a concern as durability is. I would LOVE to have a bed that actually lasted 10 years without sagging and provided back support (I'm a side sleeper, he's a back sleeper). We live in coastal NC where mattress shopping is kind of a joke, so I suspect anything we get would be ordered online for delivery. All I have learned is Nectar seems to check off all the boxes except durability, so that's out.
thank you in advance! I'm very interested in hearing your thoughts.
