Looking for advice regarding Hydrocortisone 1%

I had eczema as a child, it eventually cleared up on its own (not sure how) and it’s creeped back over the past 5 years (I’m now 25).

I reluctantly went to the drs and they prescribed 1% hydrocortisone to be used for 6-7 days during flare ups. I’ve tried it twice now, once at the end of June and again at the beginning of August. The first time it seemed to clear it completely, but the itching soon came back. The second time it cleared mostly, I think perhaps this is because there was a day or two where I only applied it once rather than twice a day.

I’m absolutely terrified of developing tsw and fear that going back to the drs they’d just going to up my dosage. Just wondering if anyone has any advice?

I’ll be starting an elimination diet on Monday in hopes to get this flare under control.
