Ka Ryo Ten

Honestly I’m pretty disappointed with Ka Ryo Ten lately. Every time there’s a strong tactician on the other side she just completely breaks down or gets lost until someone bails her out. I get it when it’s someone like Riboku but even in this arc I’d like to see her fully outthink at least one of his students or a similar level opponent on her own. And I’d love to see her start using tactics that aren’t strictly by the book too. If she’s going to be the tactician for a future great general of the heavens she needs to start stacking some real merits, because right now it’s hard to see her at that level. Would love to know other people‘s opinion.

Theory: Hsu Takes the Capital but the War Isn’t Over

What do you guys think about this? I think Hsu will take the capital of Zhao, but the king will flee to another kingdom and the war will keep going. This makes sense because it would give Hsu a huge accomplishment while still leaving the conflict unresolved. It would also be the perfect moment to officially recognize Shin and the others as Great Generals. After that, I think it’s the perfect time for Ousen to make his move — using political warfare to take out Riboku.

Let me know what y’all think

We’ve seen Ri Boku do it time and time again — the moment one of Zhao’s armies starts struggling, he rushes over to bail them out. It’s basically become his signature move at this point. So the real question is, why isn’t Ousen taking advantage of that?

The play seems obvious. You send one army in to apply heavy pressure on a Zhao , knowing full well that Ri Boku is going to feel obligated to respond and move toward them. The moment he commits to that direction, you intercept him midway before he even reaches the struggling army. He’d be caught in transit, separated from the full strength of his forces, and forced to fight on terms he didn’t choose.

Would love to hear what others think. Is Ousen already setting this up in the background, or is this a real missed opportunity?
