Medical emergency: Sick baby in Ubud

We came couple days back to Bali with our 15month baby boy. Shortly after our arrival, our baby got seriously sick - had high fever and rejected food. We consulted our local doctor and he has guided however best he could over the phone.

While the baby’s temperature has reduced slightly now and he’s more active, our doctor has diagnosed Dehydration as the cause and recommended liquid-only diet. The baby is having loose motions today and accordingly doctor has suggested medicines.

I just want to double-check this diagnosis with a pediatric doctor in-person, and get a second opinion as well. But I’m unable to find any pedias nearby in Ubud town.

I am staying near Monkey Forest area, and am happy to give a detailed condition of the baby or visit for a checkup if we connect.

Help me learn Music

So as a follow-up to my question some weeks back, where I received very encouraging and helpful responses, I now have my MIDI keyboard and Ableton subscription.

I was starting out by learning some free Music Theory course on YT by this guy called Taetro (and I’m finding it good) - but I wanted to know if you could guide me - what would be the right way to learn music? Because right now I’m just following YT videos and not a structured course. If you have taken some courses, would love to try it out. Or if you recommend an ideal study plan then that’s good too.

I aim to basically be able to replicate tracks that I like, to start with, and later on make some beats of my own.

Learning to play Music

I am a 28y old guy who has ZERO music knowledge, however lately I’ve had this craving to learn music just so I can make basic beats and tunes. I mostly listen to techno music on YT while I work, and am not like a hardcore music fan or anything.

Few weeks back I saw someone using MIDI keyboard (I didn’t even know that’s what it was called when I first saw it) on YouTube and ever since then I’ve been hooked on this idea of getting one and starting learning music.

Again, I might be crazy to think that I can learn music via MIDI keyboard but I don’t even know where to start lol. Hence posting here to understand if it’s a wise decision to get a basic starter MIDI keyboard so I can plug it to my laptop and play various virtual instruments? From my basic research I saw I need to learn piano and drums first, and that’s probably all I need to fulfill my requirement for the time being.

Could you please advise if I’m thinking right and getting a MIDI keyboard would be a good starting point?
