29F | Looking for long-term friends :)
Hello, my name is Taylor! I rarely post on Reddit (mostly just a lurker) but I figured I would finally try making a post of my own.
As the title says, I am looking for long-term, genuine friendships preferably with people in my age range (mid 20s-early 30s). :) I apologize that this post is a bit long... I just figured that the more specific I am, the easier it could be to find people who I would get along well with! I do feel a bit nervous posting this, but I'm trying to push myself out of my comfort zone! Oh also, I live on the West Coast of the US, so my time zone is PST.
A bit about me:
- I am autistic, as well as a bit of a yapper at times, so please keep that in mind if we start talking! I know that yappers aren't for everyone, so I ask kindly that you only start chatting with me if you're ok with that. :') I just get excited and passionate about things, so I can't help but talk a lot sometimes haha
- I would consider myself a creative person, especially when it comes to art! I love drawing & painting digitally, and hope to one day get back into creating traditional art too. These days I typically enjoy drawing my own characters & ideas the most!
- I love creating characters & worldbuilding- especially fantasy worlds! I always have such fun developing the stories & personalities of characters, perfecting character designs, developing lore for the world, etc. Learning and becoming knowledgeable about the lore of whatever book I'm reading, game I'm playing, etc. is one of my favorite things to do... so that inspires me to keep coming up with interesting lore for my own characters & stories! :)
- I used to read a lot when I was younger, and over the last year I've started to slowly get back into it. I'm finally reading the Lord of the Rings (I've seen the movies a bunch of times and they're among my favorite movies ever, so I've always wanted to read the books!) and have been enjoying it thoroughly so far! I'm also currently reading Assassin's Apprentice, which I'm loving a lot!
- I've loved playing video games ever since I was a kid. Some of my favorites include Pokémon, Genshin, Minecraft, BG3, Animal Crossing, Stardew Valley, and more! I also finally started playing Elden Ring last week, which has been pretty challenging but also very fun!
- Some of my favorite series (shows, movies, etc.) include Lord of the Rings, Attack on Titan, ATLA, TLOK, Demon Slayer, Naruto, MCU (especially the GotG and Spider-Man films), and many more.
- Other miscellaneous things that I love - Snoopy (i love collecting snoopy stuff), unicorns (especially the medieval kind), cozy & whimsical things, cold/cloudy/rainy weather, baking (i love desserts), autumn & winter, Christmas, astronomy, fairytales, history, music, etc.
- I also wanted to mention that I am bisexual, a feminist, left leaning politically, etc. so if you're in disagreement with any of those things, I'd prefer it if you didn't message me. Thank you!
I got a bit carried away and put a lot of info here, so I applaud you if you read through all of it! :) Feel free to message me if you think we could become friends! I'm open to talk about most things. All I ask is that you be patient, as I am a bit shy at first, and kind! :)
